Manila Thriller Delivers a Thrilling Performance

The 7f Selling Stakes at Chester saw a fighting finish on Friday 14th June, where Manila Thriller battled valiantly to win under jockey Connor Beasley. With the frustrating weather and unpredictable conditions, plotting race plans has not been straightforward. This clever 2-year-old filly by Rumble Inthejungle (IRE) out of Fiumicino is an exciting prospect for West Ilsley Stables, and we are really pleased for owners Richard Kent & Partners. 

Jack looks forward to Manila Thriller’s future, saying, “She’s a big filly that ran green on debut, but she really knuckled down well and worked hard to earn her win. We’re confident she will go on to bigger things, she’s a great filly.”

Sixties Chic gave another superb performance at Newbury, in the 6f Handicap on Thursday, 13th June. This classy 4-year-old has shown she is a strong competitor and impressive sprinter and we are delighted for owners, the Box 41 syndicate. Winning by 3/4L under jockey Charlie Bishop, Jack is hopeful there is more to come, saying, “So pleased with Sixties Chic. She’s been on the go all Winter, had a busy Spring, and just keeps on improving. Her best performance to date and I’m sure more to come.”
