Spirited Dancer Shows Fighting Spirit to Win

It all came together for Spirited Dancer to showcase her skills and fighting spirit, winning the Restricted Maiden Stakes at Bath on Wednesday, 15th May. Under jockey Ed Greatrex, this 2- year-old filly by Dandy Man was happy for the good ground and extra distance, to give a very convincing performance, winning by 5L.

We are always pleased as the new season’s 2-year-olds come into their own and start to shine, and Spirited Dancer is one of a number of exciting young horses we are hopeful about.

Jack is delighted with the win, saying, “Absolutely thrilled with her win today. She had run a cracker first time at Kempton and for whatever reason it didn’t quite happen next time out, but Spirited Dancer gave a very exciting and professional performance today (at Bath). Hopefully she will continue to improve and we may possibly look at entering some ‘black-type’ races later in the season.”

Congratulations to her owners Ludgersall Racing and of course to the West Ilsley team.

We look forward to more from Spirited Dancer and the other 2-year-olds as the season kicks on.
