Jack Lands First Treble on a Super Saturday

Flash Bardot, Hiromichi and Amancio Triumph!

It was a cracker of a weekend, as we secured a remarkable treble with Flash Bardot, Hiromichi and Amancio, on Saturday, 27th April. The West Ilsley Stables team is firing on all cylinders and we are feeling the excitement build, as the season now moves up a gear.

Jack did not hide his delight, saying, “We are thrilled to have our first treble, with 3 brilliant, individual performances. All the team are working so hard and it’s great when it is rewarded.”

Flash Bardot’s Victory at Doncaster

Flash Bardot, the impressive 4-year-old filly owned by The Six Or Sticks syndicate, stamped her authority in the EBF Premier Fillies Handicap over 1m4f. Flash Bardot by name, flash by nature, beating Sweet Fantasy by 2 3/4L under jockey David Probert. Bred by none other than Mick Channon, making this win even more special for the West Ilsley team.

Jack clearly rates Flash Bardot highly, saying,”She loves that ground and when ridden quietly like this, she is a force to be reckoned with. We’re looking forward to her making the next step-up, to big heritage handicaps.”

Hiromichi’s Triumphant Opening Mile Handicap at Ripon

Hiromichi initiated the treble by winning the opening mile handicap at Ripon, under jockey Clifford Lee.. Displaying all his determination and speed, this classy 6-year-old gelding keeps impressing. We are delighted for long-standing and supportive owners and breeders, Jon & Julia Aisbitt.

Hiromichi has a big fan-base at home, as Jack confirmed, “He’s a yard favourite with everyone, and he just keeps on improving. Hiromichi has a fantastic winning strike-rate and when he’s right, he is an impressive horse. We are delighted and hoping he will continue now into the ‘80s’ and onwards.”

Amancio’s Dominance at Haydock

Amancio completed the treble at Haydock in the Trustatrader 1m Handicap, adding to the excitement of the day. Victorious by 3 lengths in a thrilling contest, this talented gelding, superbly ridden by Rose Dawes, was the icing on the cake for the West Ilsley team.

Of Amancio’s win, Jack confirmed the changes worked, saying, “Thrilled for Amancio at finally getting off the mark. The step up to 1 mile and the cut in the ground made all the difference. We are really pleased with that performance.”
