A Glorious moment at Goodwood

A first winner at Glorious Goodwood came in the form of Jon & Julia Aisbitt’s JOHAN who took the Coral Golden Mile under James Doyle in a thrilling victory that saw the homebred son of Zoffany overcome a wide draw in stall eighteen.

It was an outstanding display from last season’s Lincoln winner been off the track ever since his Doncaster win 293 days ago.

Much could be said here and now but the Racing Post’s Lee Mottershead summed it up best in a report which encapsulates the challenges faced by young trainers trying to make a name for themselves in their own right.
